Upgrading Gear
Upgrading gear is one of the most important parts of the game and can somewhat become a stressful encounter if you don't have enough materials or don't know where to go. Luckily for us, we have a new feature in the game called "Gear Evolution" which can be found on the Divine Master, who is located in Old Sunstream [149, 41] or in Seat of Chaos [-320, -320]. This new feature will take any materials needed for gear upgrades automatically, as well as adding a Yuan Crystal when you refine a piece of gear.
The current level of Yuans you need for certain refines are the following;
Yuan Crystal LV2
+2 or lowerYuan Crystal LV3
+3 or lowerYuan Crystal LV4
+4 or lowerYuan Crystal LV5
+5 or lowerYuan Crystal LV6
+6 or lowerYuan Crystal LV7
+7 or lowerYuan Crystal LV8
+8 or lowerYuan Crystal LV9
+9 or lowerYuan Crystal LV10
+10 and higher
Note that a Yuan Crystal LV10 can be used on ALL refine levels, but it is not adviced. If your gear is +7, use a Yuan Crystal LV7.
The nice thing about these Crystals is that you can upgrade them if you have enough of one level. Each level requires 3 of the previous levels. So for example, if you wanted to get a Yuan Crystal LV10, you'd need a total of 81 Yuan Crystal LV6. Which sounds like a lot, but it really isn't that bad.
Upgrade Materials
These materials are most used to upgrade your gear. Each one depends on the level of the gear however. So take a look at the chart below to see what exactly you might need for your specific gear that you are wanting to upgrade. Keep in mind, that a Yuan Crystal is always a good idea as well.
Below is a chart of what each gear piece will require to upgrade, please remember to use a Yuan Crystal if doing this manually. Otherwise, the Gear Evolution system will be your best friend and will take the hassle away from you.
Seal Embedding
Bloodbonding is the process of giving your gear a "Soul" quantity which you can use to embed Seals into your gear. To begin speak with the Bloodbond Master in the Southern Border or in Old Sunstream.
Basics
- To Bloondbond your gear: you must purchase a Frost Blade and use while your HP is fully healed. This will drain your HP and generate a Blood Crystal. Now speak to the Master again and select "Bloodbond Gear" This will give your gear soul and consume the Blood Crystal.
Soul quantity depends on Gear refinery, if you refine your gear higher after being bloodbonded. You must restore soul to be full.
Note: If you Bloodbonded a piece of gear that is not refined, although you will see the bonus it will not be active when equipped. Just refine your gear to correct this.
- To Adquire Seals: You must speak to the Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth forges close to Bloodbond Master. These will let you merge seals by consuming Common Seal Orbs and Fine Seal Orbs.
- To Embed Seals: speak to the Bloodbond Master and select the Embed Seal option.
- To Decompose: take a refined item that has Soul LV, which has been Bloodbonded and decompose it via the Bloodbond Master. This will award you Orbs, depending on the Soul Level and Refinery of this item.
Seal Cost
Each Seal requires the previous level seal plus the following amount of Orbs:
Level | Common | Fine | Level | Common | Fine | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 100 | 6 | 550 | 40 | ||
2 | 150 | 2 | 7 | 650 | 80 | |
3 | 250 | 5 | 8 | 750 | 160 | |
4 | 350 | 10 | 9 | 850 | 320 | |
5 | 450 | 20 | Each 9 Requires Fate Blood | 1 |
Total orbs needed for a set per level:
Level | Common | Fine | Level | Common | Fine | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 500 | 6 | 9250 | 385 | ||
2 | 1250 | 10 | 7 | 12500 | 785 | |
3 | 2500 | 35 | 8 | 16250 | 1585 | |
4 | 4250 | 85 | 9 | |||
5 | 6500 | 185 | Each 9 Requires Fate Blood | 5 |
Types
There are 4 types of Seals, depending on the piece of gear they belong. Crown is Helm, Core is Body, Root is Boots and Gale is Weapon.
There are Seals for each type, of each element. Fire Crown, Water Core, Metal Gale, Wood Root, etc. Each piece of equipment can be embedded with a max of 5 seals, no duplicates.
Each seal also can be Yin ★ or Yang ☆, which will determine the attribute given when embedded and the set bonus as well.
Note: All 5 seals embedded into a piece of gear must be either Yin or Yang to obtain a set bonus. Mixed Seals just won't do. However, you can have 5 Yin Seals on your Helm but 5 Yang Seals on your Boots.
- EARTH: Resistances (weaken for shoes, stun for body, silence for head, and sleep for weapon) - Yin is higher.
- FIRE: Health - Yang is higher.
- WATER: Spirit - Yin is higher.
- WOOD: Accuracy if Yang, Evasion if Yin.
- METAL: Attack if Yang, Defense if Yin.
Alternatively, Yang seals are called "Empty Star or Offensive" Yin Seals are called "Full Star or Defensive", these are the full set bonuses:

Fate Gear
Fate Gear has three different types: Panorama, Vanguard and Endless, They are the respective upgraded version of Overlord, Sturdy and Wary Deity Gear. (Respectively, Scion, Gaian and Lumen)
It is obtained as a Drop in Instances like all the types of Milky Way and Dream in the South. Or purchsed with Secret Phoenix Feather at Kui Gon. All fate gear needs to be identified before you can use it. An identified gear will display its owner's Faction, Race and Gender.
Attribute Transfer
You can use the item Sky Cycle Codex at Taja in sunstream to transfer attributes from Deity gear to Fate Pieces. Fate gear can gain all attributes of the old gear and keep its own fate attributes. The old gear will be consumed in the process as this is a merging process between your current Scion, Gaian or Lumen Fate, and the Fate Gear piece. Think of Fate as a shell, in which you can put your advanced gear to gain extra stats.
Fate Attributes
Each Fate piece has different attributes depending on their types, as well as the type specific max stats. These stats can be seen if you press on the respective pieces of gear on the following link. Or by checking out the chart below.

Refining
Fate, just like any other gear, can be refined and will use the same respective sigils. However, they require you to use a "Darkcore Charm" the same way you would use other refinery Talismans at Enchanter NPC.
Fate gear's attributes are refined separately by using Ink Soul Essence and 200 gold. Ink Soul Essence can be gained in Clouded Milky way or by trading Skyspirit Jade Soul with Kui Gon in Sunstream. To refine Fate Attributes, you must click the piece on your inventory and click the "Refine" Button in the pop-up window.
- Pious Aura Charm is an optional item. The old items, such as Serenity jade, Star Charm, Cascade Charm or Sigils can not be used here.
Fate Attribute refinement rules:
- Fate Attributes as a max refinement level of 10
- Refinement level will increase by 1 upon a successful refine, and will lose 1 if it fails. Failures wont consume the gear itself
- There are several resting points for attribute refinement, Which are +3, +6 and +9. It means after the refinement level has reached +3 it wont drop below +3 no matter how many times it fails.
Transfering Gear Attributes
You can use the item Sky Cycle Codex to transfer Attributes between Deity gear and fate gear.
- All attributes of the source gear (Fate and Refinement level excluded) Will be Transfered to the target gear with 100% chance.
Sky Cycle Codex can be bought from the marketplace or found in the instance Clouded Milky Way or gained by trading Skyspirit Jade Soul with Kui Gon.
Gear Attribute Transfer Rules.
- Only gear of the same tier can be used in the transfer.
- The fate gear used in the attribute transfer must be identified.
- When a fate gear is used as the source gear, Its fate attributes and refinement level will not be kept.
- The Source gear will be consumed during the process.
- After the attribute transfer, The name of the original gear will be used for the target gear.
- The two gear used in the transfer must have the same covenant type.
- If the source gear has refinement, Bottlement or Blood then the transferred gear can not be used as the target again in attribute transfer.
You can Upgrade your fate gear at Divine Master in the Seat of Chaos according to it's recorded Covenant.
- Fate gear without covenant can not be upgraded
The upgrade path for fate gear is Panorama -> Cosmos Mystery -> Endless Fiction
- When upgrading fate gear, The Attributes and refinement level will be kept.

Gear Conversion
Gear Conversion is a nice way to change your gear without having to worry too much about having to go through the whole process again. While this all sounds too good to be true, it somewhat is. As to convert your gear you will need to have another sort of "Yuan Crystal". This sort is only for gear conversion and sofar can only be found on the Marketplace or from other players. Bellow are the items needed for gear conversion, and below that you can see a more detailed list of what is needed to keep your refinery level and where you have to go.
Gear Conversion Items
Skytouch Jade Gear Conversion Items | Battleground Gear Conversion Items | Chu Han Gear Conversion Items | Diamond Gear Conversion Items |
---|---|---|---|
Skycloud Aqua Stone ○ > □ |
Abyssbog Aero Stone □ > ○ |
Flameflow Aero Stone ■ > ○ |
Shockflash Aqua Stone ◇ > □ |
Skycloud Pyra Stone ○ > ■ |
Abyssbog Pyra Stone □ > ■ |
Flameflow Aqua Stone ■ > □ |
Shockflash Pyra Stone ◇ > ■ |
In addition to needing these, like said above, you need a new type of "Yuan Crystal" to keep the refinery level of your gear when converting. The item you will need for this is the Mortal Forsaken Order which can be traded for the individual pieces at the Divine Master who we touched on above.
In order to keep your refinery level you will need to exchange that item for the respective item for your gear refinery level. For example, if your gear is +14 and you want to convert it to another gear piece, you first need to check which item you need to keep the refinery level. In this case, that would be the Boundary Jade LV14 which will cost you 5 Mortal Forsaken Order. Remember that these can only be bought from other players or the marketplace directly.
As the above item says;
The jade from Empyrean. It can be used at
Divine Master when gears are converted to keep the Refinery and Imbue Level of Lv14 and lower level Armor gears. |
Mystic Weapons
Mystic weapons are the newest addition to the gears on Jade Dynasty. They are special gears that you can only get by killing one of the new World Bosses in Elysium called Thunder Phoenix. The chances for this boss to drop the new weapons however is low, with the 2nd type dropping with a 10% chance and the 3rd type with a 1% chance.
That being said however, the 2nd weapon type does also drop on the following bosses:
Bosses | Chances |
Empress Lunara | 5% |
Primordial Monkey Wu | 5% |
Disorderly Monkey Enli | 5% |
Ruilue | 5% |
These weapons are on the same level as Lumen-Fate or Luman-Astrum weapons and has higher refinery stats. Making this weapon +15, which is the max refinery level for it, would compare it to a +18 Lumen-Astrum weapon. This refinery level increases the attack power of the weapon by 27,609.
- Level Requirement is 161
- Max refinement is +15
- Has a slot system to embed extra attributes such as Health, Spirit and Critstrike Rate.
Below are the possible stats to get on the weapons, they work similar to fate gear and stats are random.
Practice (Example) | Illustrious (Example) | Praised (Example) |
Attack Power: 2137-2337 Skill Accuracy +11.0 CritStrike Rate +19.0% Ignore Damage Reduction +3.0% Bonus attributes: CritStrike Rate +12.0% (Refinery required +9) CritStrike Bonus +33.0% (Refinery required +10) Attack Power +32% (Refinery required +11) |

Anti-Felkin % | 15% | 0.5 | 5 | 0.4 |
Attack | 22% | 500 | 1500 | 50 |
Quality
There are 3 types: Practice Weapon, Illustrious Weapon and Praised Weapon. Practice is the lowest grade, Illustrious is middle grade, and Praised is the highest grade.
- Practice weapons can be gained by exchanging Mythical Soil at Mystic Master Yang Kun.
- Illustrious weapons can be gained by exchanging a Illustrious Edge Bag item which drops from Bosses in the Clouded Sunstream and Dream in the South instances, as well as drops from Elysium Bosses: Primordial Monkey Wu and Empress Lunara.
- Praised weapons can be gained as drops from the Thunder Phoenix boss in the Clouded Sunstream. (Area not available. Added to Elysium Bosses)
The new Mystic weapons have better stats compared to Astrum however, Practice type Mystic weapons will have more Attack Power than their 170 counterparts at lower or equal refinery to +11. This means after +12 an Astrum weapon is stronger. Illustrious and Praised both, will have more Attack Power and higher stats regardless of refinement level compared to Astrum.
Spirit Stones
Players can set Consolidated Spirit Soul Stones into the weapon's slot to give an additional stat. These items can be obtained in Master Yang Kun`s exchange.
How to Refine
Mystic Master Yang Kun in Sunstream City will have the option "Mystic Gear Enhance". You will need three items:
- Your Mystic Weapon
- Moon Talisman
- Mystic Talisman
If the refinery attempt fails, the rank will not drop nor will the weapon break. Each time one fails the Good Fortune or Luck value will raise, also increasing the chance of a successful refine. Once the refinery attemp is successful, the good fortune stat will go back to zero.
Spirit Extraction The other talisman is gained through a "Spirit Extraction" function that players can use with their Astrum or Endless type Weapons. Has requirement of lv161+ and can only be used on weapons that have a refinery higher or equal to +11. The higher the refinery of the weapon, the more Moon Talismans you obtain. There is a chance to gain Good Fortune or Luck points from this, but only when using +14 or higher weapons.
Other Functions
These weapons can be imbed and bloodbond normally. You can transfer the imbue from one weapon to your Mystic item: you will need a "Mysterious Origin Divine Crystal" as auxiliary to perform this action at Master Yang Kun. You can also transfer the Fate Attributes from a previous weapon. The Target`s fate attributes will be changed. Endless, Astrum and Mystic can be used as Source. Astrum and Mystic can be used as Target.
Transfer Rules
- Both Source and Target Gear must be identified.
- Both Source and Target Gear must be the same faction.
- Once the transfer is successful, Fate attribute of the "Target" gear will be randomly generated.
